WIP Wednesday {32}

okay, so I missed last week due to illness, but I'm still doing a little sewing here and there. Here's what's on my plate this week.

Finished: Pincushion Organizer

In progress:

Amy Butler Weekender bag. I finished the outside and need to do the lining. I brought it out to show Mr. Fabric Obsessed and my daughter came over to snag it. I made the mistake of saying it was so big she could fit in it and you can guess what happened next right??
We'll just call that product testing. You know I'll have lots to say about this bag when I'm done right? It's a doozy.

Habitat challenge: Nothing I can show yet, but I've got one block done. I'm doing a few more for the charity part so I'll photograph those when they are done.

do.Good Stitches July : This is my first month being a quilter! I chose to use Jaybird Quilts Hexagon Quilt along for our blocks this month with a yellow and gray color scheme. My colors are a bit wonky in these photos, not sure what happened!

Aviary Birdbath : 46 blocks done, 26 to go!

Double Wedding Ring Quilt Along (DWR): Got all my templates printed and cut.

Carnival baby quilt: Sorry for the bad photo, I don't know what my issue is with photos today! This one is all basted and hanging on my  ironing board for quilting. This baby will be arriving this weekend, however I still don't know if it's a boy or girl!! So they may not be getting this quilt - hee hee.

My first quilt: still being bound. I have about 1 foot to go, don't know why I'm dragging my feet on this one.

I'm linking up with Lee at Freshly Pieced. Go see what everyone is up to!

Ha! Love the picture of your little girl in the bag. Cracking me up.

It looks like you're making great progress! Glad you're feeling better.

Hey, that just shows off how roomy the bag is! I have heard horror stories about this bag! Primarily, "I will never make it again." I make bags and quilts, but I haven't felt brave enough to tackle this one! Love how yours is looking though. And your hexagon quilt is looking great!

What a great perspective shot on that bag. I knew it was big, but never knew it was THAT big. So many great projects!

First, your Tula Pink sewing organizer below is fantastic! I am probably going to have to purchase some of that line, pronto!

Also, your bee blocks look great. I bet this will be a wonderful quilt.

And the picture of your daughter in the Weekender Bag? Well, that's just awesome. It really shows the scale of the bag. You're almost done!

I used to drag my feet on binding, too (and labeling), until I got it through my head that these were actually exciting Movie-watching stages that meant that VERY SOON I could post a FINISH!! :D Hey, whatever works for motivation, right?

LOVE the fabric you chose for your Weekender bag. I'm not a bag lady so I won't ever be making it but I sure do look forward to your thoughts!
