Lots of personal stuff going on this week, including the pending sale of our old house! So not as much sewing going on.
In process:
Still need to finish this little dress, got lots of good resources at last nights PMQG meeting (and some fun things to post about). Once I get this figured out, I'll post an update since I know some of you are planning some knit projects.
As expected, these birdbath blocks are still on my wall. These 6 are new from last week. I really like working with that black fabric. You can't really see the seams at all because it's so dark! However, I'm not sure how I feel about that pale yellow. It almost disappears. But I'd have to find another yellow to replace it which could be hard since the color selections in Aviary 2 are limited. What do you think of the pale yellow?
I'm doing a little pattern testing for my bloggy friend Susanne. Of course with those bugs this is something for my daughter!
I finally cut the fabric for my bedroom curtains. It's home dec weight though and I was running into some tension issues so I need to play some more before I get any further on this one. Not sure what's going on since I didn't have tension problems with my last curtain project.
Waiting for attention:
The bathroom - sadly still waiting on hubby
Amy Butler bag
Total WIP's: 6

Hmmm, the yellow is pretty pale, you're right. What about a brighter yellow? Those blocks look really fantastic so far and so does your little knit dress, so pretty :)
Love your birdbath blocks!
I think the pale yellow is fine.
And I love the dress! Cute!
You're making lots of progress...more than I have.
I love the curtain fabric! Maybe you need a different needle?
Wow! Busy girl! I agree with you, the yellow might be a little pale for those dark colors...what about more of a mustard-y yellow? That fabric for your curtains is gorgeous!
That dress is just adorable. I like the pale yellow in the birdbaths, I'm not sure another yellow would be better. Like you said, the color palate looks pretty limited & it looks like you've got it matched pretty perfectly right now.
Oh, those birdbath blocks are great! I do wish the yellow was a bit more prominent, but I still think it flows excellently overall.
I'm not sure how I feel about the pale yellow. Part of me thinks it's a good contrast to the other yellow, and that in large doses, it will work. The other part of me thinks it's too pale. I'm no help. Your blocks look great, though!
I'm note sure about the pale yellow either. I brighter yellow even if doesn't match perfectly but in the same tone (does that even make sense?), although I realize that could be tricky to find.
Well, I like the pale yellow, but I do see what you mean about it disappearing. Maybe just look for a different yellow and if there is one that brings on the Heavenly choirs, then change it? I don't know...
Everything else looks great!! I can't wait to see the curtains and whatever comes from that cute bug fabric!!!!
I think the pale yellow does disappear a bit but once you get the blocks all made it may really add to the design of the quilt. Love the bug fabric and your little dress your making.
I am IN LOVE with the little bug fabric you chose!

Those birdbath blocks are great - I did a quilt with similar blocks last summer (need to quilt it though). I love the fabric you're using for curtains. Hopefully your tension issues will be solved soon. Good luck with the house! Oh, and thanks for hauling all that stuff to our meeting last night! o:)
Love the gray fabric for your bedroom curtains, great choice! That little dress turned out SO cute, good job on that one. Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday. : )
I see what you mean about the pale yellow disappearing but I'm not sure I'd change it, when you have more blocks together it might change how it appears... Love those blocks though!
That little dress is so darling! Thanks for bringing to the meeting to show us the fabric. So cute!
