Well, no finishes to speak of this week, but I'm getting close on a couple of things.
In progress:
For the PMQG Jay McCarroll Habitat challenge we were to make individual blocks to be judged. Now the blocks are being put together for charity quilts and I volunteered to quilt one. That's what's in my machine at the moment.
I also had a reason to go to my local quilt shop today! I joined Kati's Color Wheel Charm Swap over at fromthebluechair.com. I was assigned "Green-Blue" and need to find a dark and light green blue fabric for swapping. Here was my first attempt. What do you think? It's Melinda from Jennifer Paganelli and Snip Snip Scissors from Momo.
My hexagon strip is done and I've added interfacing to the back for support.
My diaper bag exterior and interior are all done and ready to be put together. I'm kind of dreading this step.
I ran into my first hurdle with the Nursery decorating. The panels that I want to cut up are an unusual size so I can't get a standard canvas for them. I found this Foam Board for only $3 so I figured I'd give it a try. If it's not sturdy enough, I'm thinking hubby will be cutting me some custom boards! I'll just have to be gentle with it.
And in non sewing project news, I'm working on a sign for my powder room. Remember that project? No, it's still not painted. Hubby got done most of the first coat and that's where it stands. Let's hope my sign comes out faster! Actually, let's just hope it comes out. I'll post more info if it turns out decent.
No Progress this week:
Double Wedding ring
Curtains, curtains, curtains
X quilt
Baby Boy quilt
Aviary Birdbath - well, it's at the quilters so I don't know what that counts as
Total WIP: 11
As usual - check out the linky party over at Freshly Pieced and add your WIP's to the list!

I love the fabric you choose, very nice! And I can't wait to see the finished diaper bag, although I do admit that this next step is also the one I don't like about making bags...
Ooh, your bag is going to be pretty!!! You can do it, you beat the Weekender, you'll be fine :) Love those little hexies you're working on, too, so cute!! How tiny are they?
Love the bag, you'll do fine putting it together. I like the blue-green fabric too.
Love the fabric you chose for the swap, I'm getting so excited seeing it all posted :o)
Those hexies are fab, I love that fabric!
For the bag, binder clips are your friend (no pin holes in the oilcloth, although apologies if I'm teaching granny to suck eggs here!)
I'm excited to see the quilts from the Habitat challenge! I bought a stack of Habitat months ago with a quilt in mind and just haven't gotten around to it. Too bad I have to make a baby quilt and a birthday quilt for my mom before I can even think of a quilt for myself!
Great WIPs! Your diaper bag looks darling, and the Habitat quilt will be going to one lucky family!! Love those hexies, can't wait to see more!
I always dread that last diaper bag step too with any purse project, but just do it! It never is as bad as you think it will be! Everything looks great Becky!
Wow, you are seriously productive these days! Love that diaper bag. I never had anything that cute! Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday. : )
That block on your sewing machine is awesome! And I love the blue green fabrics! Good luck with nursery decorating and your hexies!!

So great! Your Habitat quilt is looking awesome!
The Habitat quilt is looking good! So is the bag - keep on going! The swap sounds fun and I like the fabrics you picked!
Everything's looking so wonderful! Tip about the foam board: it tends to warp over time. You may want to just skip to the custom cut.
Your hexies are wonderful! so is the quilt in the sewing machine. What's the name of that AB pattern? so...easier than the Weekender, or isthe jury still out on that verdict?
It all looks great...but I love your hexies
Can't wait to see more of that Habitat quilt, I am a huge fan of his fabrics. Good luck on that diaper bag it looks kinda tricky. :)
Those are perfect green-blues!
I love your hexies in the 1934 fabric and the Habitat quilt looks beautiful!
