Bloggers Quilt Festival

I had plans to get a new quilt finished for Bloggers Quilt Festival this year, but I didn't get it to the quilters on time. So I thought I'd feature my favorite quilt this year. If you've been following me a while, you've probably seen this one before. It's my Central Park Postage Stamp quilt.

This quilt was made following the quilt along at PS I Quilt. And I love that QAL because it is such a quick and easy way to make a very impressive quilt. And a good size at 61"x81".

I did my own quilting on this one, just straight lines through the solid blocks.

The fabric is a Central Park jelly roll and a Kona White Jelly Roll. I used some of my favorite Central Park for backing and binding.

Thanks for stopping by. I promise I'll have new stuff to show shortly. In the meantime, enjoy all the quilty goodness over at the Bloggers Quilt Festival.

Oh that is beautiful! I love the colours the way they change as you move down the quilt. I've gone right over there and pinned the QAL so I can have a go now!

Beautifully done! I have some Central Park and thought it may need larger pieces to highlight it best, but you have shown that is not the case.

What great use of a jelly roll, especially one with such a lovely gradation of color. You've given me some inspiration here!

Oooooh, I love that quilt (but, somehow, I think you already know that!) Wouldn't it have been funny if we both had posted the same quilt! But, since I copied you it wouldn't have been fair of me - LOL!

Love postage stamp quilts. Mom told me years ago about a friend of hers who was a quilter and made them...i thought she was nuts and quilting wasn't really on my wavelength. Now one of them seems possible for me to make someday. Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilt and have a great day

That's so gorgeous - I have a Kate Spain jelly roll lurking in my stash, dying to be something as beautiful as this. I love how your quilting really brings out the pattern. Lovely!

Totally inspired! I used Central Park too for the quilt a long and all the strip sets are sitting on hanger waiting for me to get back to them. My plan was random but now I've gotta rethink that! Thanks for sharing.

I love this! I still haven't quilted my QAL postage stamp (using the Kansas Troubles) but it's still on my 2011 agenda so here's hoping.

Yours is just great, especially how you set the colors in the quilt. Love it.
