Searching for my mojo

I haven't had much to post lately. Mostly because there isn't a lot getting done around here. I can't lie, I think it's still pregnancy related. Honestly, it's hard to get a lot of sewing done when you much prefer to take a nap! I don't know why I'm still so sleepy. At 16 weeks I thought I'd be a lot more energetic.

I also had a weekend trip to visit family in Florida (the Weekender bag does fit under an airplane seat if squished a bit).  And my daughter had a traumatic start to preschool. So that's taken up quite a bit of my energy and attention. I'm hoping with PMQG starting back up this month I'll get inspired to work again. What do you do get your creative juices going?

There has been some sewing. I've got the top done for the do.Good Stitches quilt. I wasn't paying enough attention apparently when I laid this one out. It wound up really long and skinny so I added some solid borders to two sides to help even it out. The top is zig-zagged like the bottom but almost impossible to hold up. I will get better photos when I finish it!

And since I posted about my mantle drama previously, I thought I'd show the final result. I managed to find something I like better than my old print and hubby can deal with (thank you Home Goods). I hope to change out the flowers and candles seasonally.

Hope you all are having a great Labor Day weekend. I'm off to take another nap. Night night!

Don't you worry about it - just rest up! I basically couldn't sew at all throughout my entire second pregnancy. I tried and TRIED to sew, I wanted to so badly, but I just had zero energy and zero motivation. So I know how difficult that is. But remember, you're dealing with pregnancy AND a toddler, that's a lot tougher than the first time around! My energy came back practically the minute I had the baby.

Love the Do Good quilt and the new print over the mantle.

Thanks for the update about the Weekender bag fitting under the seat:) I just started collecting fabrics/supplies for it so that's good to know. I really like your mantle ensemble, good job! My word of advice: never pass up a good opportunity to nap:) Sweet dreams!

I just wanted to add to the other comments, early on in all 3 of my pregnancies I was so tired all the time (I really needed a seat on the tube but no one could see I was pregnant), but later I had so much energy when everyone would see I was pregnant and I could take or leave a seat (more or less). Love the hexies by the way, makes me think of honeycomb.
