It's that time of year again! Blogger's Quilt Festival hosted by AmysCreativeSide.com. If you haven't been there yet, go check it out. It's a virtual quilt show and there area always so many beautiful things to see. Those of you who are new here, thanks for stopping by! You can see all of my finished projects by clicking the finished project links above.
This fall I'm featuring a quilt I've already shown. It's definitely my favorite quilt that I've made since the last Quilt Festival. The Houndstooth quilt!
This quilt was originally part of the Sew Sweetness Tula Pink Sew Along. I did a pattern review and you can see that post right here.
Just in case you can't tell, those houndstooth blocks are really large! Here is a photo I took so you can see how big they are. The square within is 6" big.
This yields a pretty big quilt (66"x72")! It would definitely be a large twin and could possibly even fit a double.
I quilted this one myself with alternating straight lines on the diagonal to create texture.
I wish this quilt still lived with me, but it was a gift for my sister and now resides on her couch. At least I can visit it!
Quilt stats:
Size: 66"x72"
Pattern: Houndstooth by Tula Pink
Fabrics: Woodgrain from Joel Dewberry, Michael Miller Cotton Couture Venus, Kona white and I can't remember the dot fabric
Quilted by: Myself
Finished: 9/14/12
Best categories: Bed Quilt and Home Machine quilt

I have always thought that a houndstooth quilt would be a fun project. You have proven me right! Nice!!
Your houndstooth quilt is terrific. I love everything about it.
I love this quilt!! too bad you don't have more of the fabric to make another one (because I know how much fun you had putting it together - LOL!)
Another beautiful quilt - it actually reminds me of bats (perfect for this time of year) - thanks for sharing
I love hounds tooth and I love how you chose to quilt it!
Wonderful quilt! Love the fabric choices on this one!

Very pretty!
Beautiful! I love the quilting!
Love houndstooths! You are a good sister to let it go :)
I love how you did your Houndstooth. I also like how Tula did hers a bit differently from Vanessa Christensen's (V&CO) Houndstooth. Oh, the black dot is by Micheal Miller. I think its called Ta Dot.
I love the colours you chose... it really makes this pop for me!
Its lovely - I love the colours. Thanks for sharing.
I love that you used more than just two colors for the houndstooth! Turned out so cute! Great job!
Really enjoying the color palette.
I remember seeing this as part of the Tula Sewalong and just loving it. You did a wonderful job!

This remains one of my favourite quilts. I love the colours you chose. Note to self ... make this pattern sometime!
On the angle it looks like the aliens from space invaders :)
Your quilt is great. I like the design and the colours you have used. What a lovely gift.
Great job, Becky! Love how you mixed the colors. This is the first Houndstooth quilt I have seen with more than two colors. I can't wait to see it in Ohio State colors! You've got my vote.
I loved/hated making my houndstooth. I never thought of doing it in more than two colors. This is great!!
Very nice! I thought those were shooting stars! Lucky sister. Thanks for sharing and have a great day
