September Bee Blocks

Over the long weekend, I was able to get my Bee Blocks done for the month of September.

For Sew Modern Bee, Rachel is doing the Fresh Lemons Quilt and sent us all fabrics from Sherbet Pips. She did all the cutting for us, so this was super easy to put together.

Then for do.Good Stitches, Carol gave us a challenge. At least it was a challenge for me! We were to make log cabin blocks out of string piecing via this tutorial. She requested medium to dark blue, green and purple with a contrasting center. I'm hoping my centers aren't too big. They could range in size from 6-9 inches and mine do just that.
All the centers are the same size (2.5" finished) so you can see the difference in my photos.

I also got my backing done for my do. Good quilt and just need hubby to help me spray baste it. Yay for progress!
